Nazareth Old City & Markets Alleys Trail
A 2.3 km urban walk (~3 h) from Mary's Well to the Basilica via the carpenters', fabric and spice markets — 80% shaded.
A fascinating urban walk through the carpenters' market, fabric market and spice alleys, linking St. Gabriel's Church, the Synagogue Church, the White Mosque and the Basilica of the Annunciation with traditional knafeh bakeries and historic cafés. Loop/flexible, 2.3 km, ~3 hours with stops, ~45 m gentle climb. Easy/family. Ancient stone paving and many steps — not passable for strollers or wheelchairs inside the market. Very shaded (~80%); cafés and fountains en route; year-round (slippery when wet). No vehicle access — park at Mary's Well or the market car park.
