Al-Mahdi Sweets Nazareth
Nabulsi knafeh baked over charcoal in giant copper trays in the heart of the old market.
A legendary knafeh stall in the crowded old market, faithful to the ancient method of baking over glowing charcoal. The controlled heat gives the kadaif threads exceptional crispness while gently melting local goat cheese, scented with orange-blossom and rose water. Also: crispy Istanbul knafeh and rich ghee baklava. Halal. Note: this is the original Nazareth market branch — not the Jaffa branch, which keeps different hours. Not wheelchair accessible.
