World-famous as the country's mosaic capital: the "Mona Lisa of the Galilee", the zodiac floor of the ancient synagogue, a Roman theatre, a Crusader citadel and a vast underground water system. Circular trail network plus the water system, 3.5 km, 2.5–4 h. Easy/family; highly accessible (paved decks to the Roman villa, synagogue and citadel). Cold-water fountains, toilets and air-conditioned buildings. Paid entry (Matmon pass free); advance booking recommended on the INPA site.
